NEOPRIME SB

Solvent Based Bitumen Primer (ASTM D41)

NEOPRIME SB is a fast drying, solvent based bitumen primer, when dry, the product forms an odorless and taints free bitumen film suitable for the protection of metals, concrete roofing, felt, fiber cement, corrugated iron, asphalt and wood against water attack.

NEOPRIME SB confirms to requirements of ASTM D 41 – Asphalt primer for roofing, damp proofing and waterproofing and BS 3416, Type A Class C – Bitumen based coatings for cold application, suitable for use in contact with potable water.

Versatile bituminous primer for porous and non-porous surfaces.
Cold applied.
Fast drying.
Single component, easy to apply simple brush application.
Seamless / joint free.
Can be applied on vertical and horizontal surfaces.
Improves the adhesion between bitumen based sheet membranes and coatings.
Binder for dust particles.
As a curing compound on freshly cast concrete.
Excellent barrier against chloride and sulphate ion ingress and carbon dioxide diffusion.
Anti-corrosive.
Has a low viscosity, penetrate into the concrete pores.

NEOPRIME SB is available in 20 Liters Pail and 200 Liters Drum.

Areas of Application

Can be used as a primer and a sealer coat.

General waterproofing and damp proofing of concrete, brick walls, foundations, asbestos cement sheets, roofing felts, woods etc.
Protection of steelwork, pipes and metal.
Primer coat prior to the application of torch applied bituminous waterproofing membranes.
Waterproofing in confined areas: bathrooms, kitchens and wet areas.
Curing compound on freshly cast concrete bitumen primer provides effective waterproof, weatherproof, corrosion resistant protective coating.
