ELEMENTS GP-5400 is a single component Acetic cure silicone sealant which vulcanizes on exposure to moisture in the air at room temperature, to produce a flexible elastomeric sealant. It is suitable for all common construction and glazing application. It is easy to apply and offers excellent adhesion to a variety of nonporous substrates such as glass, glazed ceramic tiles and aluminum. It is resistant to ozone, ultra-violet radiation and temperature extremes.
All-purpose for general contractors
General sealant and adhesive
Kitchen and bath installations (countertops, tubs, sinks, shower, and bath panel joints)
Carpentry, cabinet assembly and installation
All temperature gun ability – can be applied in alltemperatures
Mould Resistant, Permanently Flexible, Low Shrinkage
Excellent resistance to weathering, moisture, ozone, UV,temperature Extremes etc.
ELEMENTS GP-5400 is ready-to-use requires no mixing or additives. The cure mechanism begins as soon as the sealant comes in contact with air. At 25°C (77°F) and 50% relative humidity (RH), the sealant will “skin” within 10 minutes and fully cure in 24 hours (1/8” bead), reaching its maximum adhesion in 7 days. Higher humidity accelerates cure, and curing time is increased with the thickness of the sealant. In applications where partial or total confinement of sealant is prevalent, the time required for proper cure is generally lengthened by the degree of confinement.
Tooling, if necessary, should be done before “skinning” takes place.
ELEMENTS GP-5400is available in 280 ml cartridges packaged in cartons of 24 cartridges.
